The flu campaign is back and we are asking staff to do their bit to help us put the WIN in WINter by getting the flu jab as soon as possible.

Drop-in flu clinics for staff

Our flu campaign continues with approximately 140 flu champions across trust sites plus static clinics.

No need to book. Just turn up and remember to observe social distancing.

This year we are looking back over 75 years of the flu vaccine. The flu jab has been saving lives since it was first introduced towards the end of the Second World War in 1945. Staff will have the chance to look back through the decades when getting their jab and with themed competitions, giveaways and merchandise.

Help us reach our target

Last year was a record breaking year for the trust with 82.5% of frontline staff vaccinated. With your help, we are aiming to vaccinate even more staff in 2020 – and in record time. Take a look at the timeline below – can you help us to move through the decades?

What you need to do

To keep you, your family and patients protected, get your free flu jab as soon as you can. Here’s how to do it:

If you are not using a trust device, you need to log on to the extranet in order to access the links below.

Find your flu champion

For this most exceptional of years, we want staff to have their jabs via their flu champion in the first instance. Flu champions will be based in wards and departments across the trust.

All you need to do is to take a look to see who your champion is and send them an email to let them know you want your flu jab. Use the subject line ‘Flu jab request’ followed by your area, for example, ‘Flu jab request: Murray Building’ or ‘Flu jab request: Ward 17’.

Had your jab already? Register it!

If you have had your flu vaccine elsewhere, for example at your GP or by your midwife, you need to tell us by registering  your vaccination. That way we can add you to our total, you can collect your goodies and be entered into the prize draw. Win-win! You can register via your flu champion or book an appointment through the online booking system using the button below.
