Improving working lives

As part of our commitment to improving working lives we aim to deliver a range of flexible working practices.

We can help you return to working in the NHS and will try our best to help accommodate your working preferences to achieving a healthy work/life balance.

Schemes we offer include flexible working, part-time working, voluntary reduced hours, job share, self-rostering, term-time working, career/employment breaks, home working, special leave, on-site childcare facilities, holiday play schemes and flexible retirement.

Childcare support

Financial support in terms of Fideliti childcare vouchers is also available as well as information on the local education authority grant for 3 and 4 year olds. Information can be found at the following website: fideliti.co.uk

Support for carers is being developed working in partnership with local carers resource centres, and a carers guide for staff and managers has been developed.

Playdays day nursery

Playdays is based at The James Cook University Hospital providing quality childcare from 6.45am to 6pm.

Part-time, full-time and sessional places are available for children aged six weeks to school age in rooms catering for your child’s needs.

Fees are paid through salary deduction and the nursery is registered with OFSTED. For a prospectus or to arrange a visit please contact the nursery managers on 01642 282810.
