The dietetic service

We are a team of dietitians , dietetic assistants and a specialist nutrition nurse. Our service provides nutrition and dietetic support for adults and children in hospital and in the community.


The scientific work of the pathology department is very rewarding as the results that we provide directly contribute to patients’ healthcare. Statistics show that 70% of all diagnoses made in the NHS involve pathology.


As a physiotherapist at South Tees, you will also have the opportunity to gain experience in managing patients in musculoskeletal, respiratory, ENT, upper GI, elderly care and community therapies services. The community teams offer both static and rotational community therapy posts.

Speech & language therapy

The adult speech and language therapy team at South Tees is friendly and supportive and enjoys a wide range of clinical expertise with the trust hosting regional trauma and spinal centres as well as providing a service to sub-regional specialties in oncology, neurosciences and ENT.

Occupational Therapists

Our specialist services provide excellent opportunities for our occupational therapists to gain invaluable experience in an environment which is among the best in the region. There are 20 rotations for Band 5 staff across health and social care providing a unique opportunity to experience both types of service provision - South Tees is one of the only trusts in the country to provide this opportunity.
