Every  ward across the trust now has supplies of nicotine replacement therapy to offer inpatients instant access to smoking cessation support. The move forms part of the trust’s pledge to become totally smokefree by March 2019.

Residential course offers unique opportunity for ‘wannabe’ doctors

Future doctors from low-income backgrounds are attending a unique residential course at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough this week. The week-long programme features live theatre lectures, practical workshops and the chance to speak to consultants from a range of specialties in a unique career carousel event.
