New phone numbers for community sites

A number of our community sites are being issued with new telephone numbers from 15 August 2019 including the main switchboard at Redcar Hospital. For technical reasons, we were unable to transfer the numbers previously used.

Ultrasound technology will improve patient experience

Two new state-of-the-art ultrasound scanners are set to reduce discomfort and speed up recovery for patients undergoing mastectomies and other surgical procedures at the Friarage Hospital. The scanners, which significantly reduce discomfort through the more accurate use of an anaesthetic technique called nerve blocking, have been provided thanks to a £42,000 investment from the Friends of the Friarage.

Over £28,000 raised for the Friarage as Thirsk man wins new car

A Thirsk man is celebrating after winning a brand-new car as part of a charitable initiative that raised more than £28,000 for a local hospital charity. Andy Billany from Thirsk won the Peugeot 208, which was supplied by Simon Bailes Peugeot, in a raffle to raise funds for the Friends of the Friarage – a charity that supports Northallerton’s Friarage Hospital, part of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Cycling road race coming to North Yorkshire

The UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) Road Race World Championship 2019 will take place across Yorkshire over nine days, starting on Saturday 21 September and ending on Sunday 29 September.

Telephone line issues
