A group of North East and Yorkshire researchers have been awarded £1.98m in research funding from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

The James Cook University Hospital Kidney Unit Appeal has smashed its £500,000 target. Patients, renal unit staff and the local community pulled out all the stops to raise the funds in less than 12 months, ensuring kidney patients can receive their outstanding care in a first class facility for years to come.
Patients across Teesside and North Yorkshire are being asked to return any walking frames, crutches and walking sticks that they no longer need.
