Our breast outreach nurse Sue Warren has been nominated for the Macmillan Service Improvement Excellence award and the announcement has received an overwhelming response on social media.
The post on The James Cook University Hospital Facebook page reached over 10,000 people and received plenty of positive responses including shares and a lot of comments saying how deserving Sue was of this nomination.
The Service Improvement Excellence category of the Macmillan Professionals Excellence Awards recognises Macmillan professionals who have made a significant difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.
Sue says “I can’t believe the positive response and would like to thank everyone for their kind words. It’s rewarding to know that the care we provide within our breast team is so highly valued by our patients.”
Several people wanted to thank Sue for her help and devotion to their relatives while they were in her care, singing her praises for the work she does and saying that she is well deserving of the nomination and wishing her luck for the Macmillan Award ceremony in Birmingham in November.
