Patients are back in Priory Ward in Guisborough Primary Care Hospital, following a £60,000 revamp. The work, which has been completed within the planned two and a half-week period, has improved the patient environment by replacing all the antiquated sinks and pipework on the ward block.
A three-month pilot has begun promoting the acute respiratory assessment service is aimed mainly at patients with chronic breathing difficulties.
Families are invited to join in the festive fun at Redcar Primary Care Hospital’s Christmas charity event. The Christmas celebration takes place at the hospital in West Dyke Road, Redcar, on Friday 14 December from 5pm to 7pm and will feature real reindeer, a local school choir, the Salvation Army Band and Santa’s grotto.
The trust’s specialist palliative care team has been commended at the 2012 Macmillan Excellence Awards. The Hambleton and Richmondshire specialist palliative care team from South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust received a commendation in the team awards – for teams who have made a significant contribution to their service or produced an exemplary piece of work.
