The Northallerton Nursing League’s generous donation to The Friends of the Friarage Hospital has provided a welcome boost to the Friarage Hospital’s MRI scanner appeal.
The North East Kidney Patients Association (NEKPA) (based at James Cook) is planning a sponsored walk to raise funds for kidney patients in the North East region. NEKPA are meeting at Great Ayton Village Green, on Sunday 8 June 2014; registration from 9am for a prompt 10am start of a 5 mile walk attended by the Middlesbrough Ramblers, who will accompany entrants and supervise throughout.
Marske United footballer Matt Crossen returned to the stroke rehabilitation unit (ward 28) at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough to present the staff with a framed ‘thank you’ and a cheque for £2,000.
The 23 year-old underwent a successful thrombectomy (clot-removing treatment) in November last year after suffering a stroke at work.
