Help us put patient meals to the test at a Come Dine With Me style event at The James Cook University Hospital on Tuesday 14 March.
Join us in the staff restaurant from 12.15pm to 1pm to sample a range of dishes before completing a feedback form to let us know what you really think!
There’s a varied menu on offer to get your taste buds tingling with everything from turkey cottage pie and chilli con carni to salmon and spinach pasta and country vegetable pie.
For those with a sweet tooth there will also be a couple of puddings to put through their paces including jam and coconut sponge and apricot crumble.
The event is being hosted by South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and its catering partner Carillion to mark Nutrition and Hydration Week.
Georgia Payne, head of dietetics and adult speech and language therapy, said: “This has now become a popular annual event with staff, patients and visitors!
“It’s great because we get feedback from a wide range of people which helps us continue to improve the hospital meals we provide to our patients.
“It also highlights the importance of good nutrition and hydration which is such a key part of patient care as it supports faster healing and recovery.”
Other initiatives planned as part of Nutrition and Hydration Week at the Trust include afternoon tea parties in Nutrition Champion Care Homes and inpatient areas, Fruity Friday kebab snack rounds at the Friarage Hospital and the relaunch of the patient snacks menu on the James Cook site.
