A touching concert tribute to celebrate the life of a dedicated North Yorkshire councillor is to be held later this month (November).
‘Reasons to be Cheerful’ will be an afternoon of Councillor Tony Hall’s favourite songs and music and was also the title of his blog which celebrated Northallerton life.
Cllr Hall, who served on Hambleton District Council for almost 17 years and represented the Northallerton area of the district, died in March this year.
He was also a county councillor, town councillor, governor at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and heavily involved in a host activities across his home town.
The concert, which takes place at The Forum on Sunday 27 November from 2.30pm, brings together a number of local music groups such as the Forum Band, Northallerton Music Theatre, Northallerton Amateur Variety Co. and Crash Bang Wallop Youth Theatre.
Tickets cost £10 adults, £5 children, and all proceeds from the event will go the MRI Scanner Appeal which Cllr Hall supported. To book a place call 01609 776230 or visit the Forum’s website
