Christmas came early for the Trinity Holistic Centre when colleagues from Sainsbury’s handed over £1,800.
The team from the Middlesbrough store raised the impressive sum by holding a wide variety of fundraisers including bike rides, running the Middlesbrough 10K, a car wash, charity stalls, tombolas and store collections.
For the last ten years the Trinity Holistic Centre (formerly known as the holistic cancer care centre) has provided valuable complementary therapies to support people undergoing treatment for cancer at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
The centre’s business manager Heather McLean said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Sainsbury’s who helped raise such a fantastic amount. Every penny we receive is so important as we seek to expand the service to many more cancer patients and their carers.”
