Families are invited to join in a range of garden-based activities at the first of a series of fun open days at Trinity Holistic Centre.
The centre, based at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, will open its doors to all local families on Saturday 11 July from 12noon to 2pm.
There will be themed garden activities and games as well as the chance to join the Trinity Green Fingers team with a spot of planting and weeding to help spruce up the garden.
“Whether you are looking for something free and fun to do with your children this weekend or you want to help improve the garden for our future patients, we are urging everyone to come along and get involved,” said the centre’s business manager Heather McLean.
Trinity Holistic Centre provides support to patients and their families affected by cancer and other long term conditions at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It also provides some wellbeing services to staff, visitors and members of the public.

Further family gardening fun days at the centre are scheduled for 15 August, 26 September, 24 October and 21 November.
