Holistic care centre’s cash tonic

The holistic care centre at James Cook has had its funds boosted by £790 thanks to a sponsored walk.

The happy hikers included 15 students from Conyers School in Yarm and family members of Lesley Maddison.

Lesley had used the centre’s facilities before her death in December 2009. Her husband David, of Guisborough, led the circular walk which started at Newton under Roseberry and took in Roseberry Topping and Captain Cook’s monument. En route, a tree was dedicated in Lesley’s memory.

David said “On behalf of my family and the holistic care centre, I would like to thank all who took part and everyone who supported us.”
