Grateful parents Tracy Cooper and Richard Norman are going that extra mile to thank the neonatal team that saved their son’s life.
Dalton was born six weeks prematurely on Christmas day 2013 at The James Cook University Hospital, and the Middlesbrough couple wanted to thank the caring staff on the neonatal unit for taking care of him so well.
They have organised a 12-mile sponsored walk in fancy dress from Redcar to The James Cook University Hospital on Saturday 6 April, starting at 1pm. Family and friends will be taking part in the walk, some who have also had children cared for by the unit’s dedicated staff.
If you would like to sponsor Tracy or take part in the walk contact her on 07507 405248, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“We are very grateful to the staff for all the hard work and dedication they put in to making sure Dalton came home fit and healthy, said Tracy.
“We wanted to do something to say thank you and give something back to help tiny babies who are poorly or born prematurely at the hospital and their families.”
The couple will also be keeping up their fundraising efforts by organising raffles and car boot sales after the walk.
