Those taking part will walk up Blencathra in the Lake District to experience a sunset to remember while raising sponsorship to support patients with cancer and other long-term conditions.

Join the Trinity team on Saturday 16 May 2015 as they set off at dusk to reach the summit in time for sunset before descending the route with head torches.

Alison Busby has already put her best foot forward, stepped up to the challenge and is packing her walking boots ready for the climb . The 44 year-old from Coulby Newham said “Having used the therapy services at the centre and experienced their wonderful care and support, I just want to give something back.

“This walk gives me the chance to raise funds for this worthy cause, whilst also enjoying the fantastic Lake District and hopefully the chance to see a glorious sunset as well. We just need the weather to play its part now!”

Trinity Holistic Centre business manager Heather McLean said: “This walk will be something truly special whether you are a regular, confident walker or want to embark on a new challenge.

“Either way this will be a unique opportunity to experience the beautiful mountains with a lovely team of people and raise funds for our very special service.”

Registration costs £30 per person (£35 including transport) this covers the costs of staging the event, including guides from Outdoor Ambition Ltd and insurance.

The walk is intended to be suitable for many abilities so anyone can take part but children must be at least 10 years old.

If you are unable to take part but would like to sponsor the team from the Trinity Holistic Centre you can make a donation via Just Giving or text SUNS48 and the amount you would like to donate to 70070

Trinity Holistic Centre provides support to patients and their families affected by cancer and other long term conditions at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It also provides some wellbeing services to staff, visitors and members of the public.
