A number of local artists are getting together to help make Christmas shopping that little bit easier – and raise money for the MRI Scanner Appeal.
This weekend (19/20 November), seven specialists in arts and crafts are making a rare public appearance away from their studios to showcase their creative wares in West Tanfield Village Hall from 10am to 4pm. Entry is free.
Whether you want to treat yourself – or do a bit of Christmas shopping – there will be a range of goods available to buy from pots and paintings to mosaics, drawings and textiles.
A raffle, with all prizes donated by the exhibitors, will also be held with proceeds going to the MRI Scanner Appeal at the Friarage Hospital. The artists on the day include:
- Claire Ingledew, botanical watercolours
- Sue Orrey-Godden, feltmaking
- Nicky Tudor, mosaics
- Jo Garlick, drawings and pastels
- Lou Richwald, ceramics and fused glass
- Sian Pratt, rugs and decorative textiles
- Clare Lindley, papercuts and drawings
