Over 120 personnel from the Ministry of Defence Hospital Unit (Northallerton) will march past the hospital accompanied by the Scots Dragoon Guard pipes at the event on Tuesday 3 July 2012.

South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust’s chairman, Deborah Jenkins, will be delighted to present Queen Elizabeth II diamond jubilee medals to the MDHU personnel as part of the parade.

She said: “We are delighted to celebrate our partnership with MDHU at the Friarage by taking part in this very special event and I am honoured to be presenting the medals. Both organisations benefit from the close working arrangements we enjoy and our partnership continues to go from strength to strength. “

Lieutenant Colonel Ian Simpson, commanding officer, said: “The MDHU has enjoyed a fruitful partnership with the Friarage Hospital since joining them on 1 Jul 1999, and it is fitting we include our partners in this celebration.

“It demonstrates our continued commitment to work together and support each other to develop and improve and provide the best care and support for our patients while providing the best training and development opportunities for our staff.”
