Cycling road race coming to North Yorkshire

Friarage and Friary patients and visitors urged to plan ahead

The UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) Road Race World Championship 2019 will take place across Yorkshire over nine days, starting on Saturday 21 September and ending on Sunday 29 September.

The championships are expected to be as big as the 2014 Tour de France Grand D├ępart, with all races finishing with a circuit around Harrogate town, with a mixture of rolling and full road closures along the route.

There are races which start in Northallerton on 25 September and Richmond on 26 September.
