Macmillan volunteers from the cancer information centres at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough and Friarage Hospital in Northallerton are already making plans for Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2012.
The volunteers are hoping to come somewhere near the astonishing £835 they raised last year by asking people to come along to the hospital coffee mornings and help a worthy cause at the same time.

• James Cook’s coffee morning will be held in the atrium on Friday 28 September from 10am to 2pm and as well as refreshments there will be a raffle, tombola and a book stall.
• At the Friarage coffee will be served in the hub on Thursday 27 September from 10am until 1pm and there will be tombola and various stalls.
Donations of toys, books, raffle and tombola prizes for both events would be gratefully received. If anyone can help contact Amanda Cormican, Macmillan cancer information adviser, on 01642 835674 / 01609 764033 or email email@example.com
Amanda said: “We are very much looking forward sharing a coffee with visitors, patients and staff on both days and everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun and help to make this year an even bigger success.”
