The Friends of the Friarage Hospital are presenting a fundraising dinner as part of their ambitious appeal in partnership with South Tees Hospitals Charity – to raise £2million for an MRI scanner at the Friarage Hospital.
The Rt Hon William Hague MP will be special guest and speaker at the prestigious event giving an exclusive speech on his ‘26 years an MP: highlights and experiences’.
The Richmond MP has added his support to the appeal and recently visited the Friarage Hospital meeting with the Friends of the Friarage volunteers, South Tees Hospitals Charity and hospital staff when the appeal reached its £1million half way mark.
The dinner – organised in partnership with The Rotary Clubs of Northallerton, Northallerton Mowbray and the Inner Wheel – is being held on Saturday 24 January 2015 at the Golden Lion Hotel, High Street, Northallerton.
Come along and hear all about the Richmond MP and former Foreign Secretary’s life as an MP and help support an important local project at the same time.
The interesting and entertaining event will start at 6.30pm for 7.30pm and includes a three course dinner and auction of promises. Tickets priced at £50 per person are available from 01609 772875, 770779 or 770451.
Friends of the Friarage, chairman, Dr Upendra Somasundram, said: “We are very grateful to Mr Hague for agreeing to be our special guest and speaker, and for helping us.
“Having worked at the Friarage for nearly 25 years before my retirement, this is a good cause close to my heart. Public support is essential to make this a reality and I feel confident the Friarage has a major role to play providing healthcare for the local population in the future.”
