There’s a packed programme of events on Teesside this week as Men’s Health Week gets into full swing. The aim of the week-long campaign this year is to tackle stigma in men’s mental health and promote mental well-being and help-seeking in men. On Teesside, there is a ‘sold-out’ free football tournament and a series of 90 minute ‘Toolbox talk’ workshops, aimed at encouraging men to be more active.
Military personnel at the Friarage will be splashing out at a charity car wash and raffle at the Northallerton hospital on Thursday 13 June from 8am to 6pm. The fun event is being held to support and improve the high standards the Ministry of Defence Hospital Unit (MDHU) unit at the hospital strives to for its military personnel. Staff, patients and the public who feel their car is in need of a bit of a wash can pop down to the hospital’s main car park to show their support and have their car washed for only £3, and take part in the raffle.
