The Trinity Holistic Centre is holding two information days to encourage more volunteers to join its highly valued team.
As a charitable service the centre relies heavily on its volunteers and following significant expansion it is looking to recruit to a number of roles covering The James Cook University Hospital, Redcar Primary Care Hospital and Friarage Hospital sites.
These roles include:
- Meet and greet plus administration support
- Administration support only
- Massage therapists
- Health and wellbeing project support volunteers
- A listening ear, talking therapies or confidence builder
- Fundraising support
The Trinity Holistic Centre provides support to patients and their families affected by cancer and other long term conditions at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It also provides some wellbeing services to staff, visitors and members of the public.
Business manager Heather McLean said: “Even just a few hours a month can make a big difference. Whether you want to give some time to a service that our patients refer to as their ‘haven’ or are looking to build your skills and experience we work hard to ensure that your volunteering experience is rewarding for you.
“The information days will enable you to visit the centre, meet the management team and other volunteers to find out more about the service and complete the first stage of the application process should you wish to volunteer with us.”
The volunteer information days will be held at the centre on The James Cook University Hospital site on:
• Friday 17 April 2015 – 11.30am – 4.30pm
• Tuesday 28 April 2015 – 3.30pm -7.30pm
Anyone wishing to attend should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01642 854839 to register their interest. Volunteers must be aged over 16.
