Could you be a volunteer way finder?

Could you be a volunteer way finder at The James Cook University Hospital to help patients find their way around the site?

If you are a friendly, approachable person who likes to help people and you have a few hours to spare then we want to hear from you!

The role is very important to us, as often you will be the first person a visitor to the hospital will see.

Often visitors who are attending the hospital for an appointment, or to visit a patient, may not readily know where they are going, in such a large hospital.

This is where our way finders can help. Equipped with a map of the hospital, dressed in your volunteer uniform and ID badge, way finders are able to show our visitors the way without much delay and take a great deal of worry from them.

If you are interested please visit our website for further information and to complete the application form. Alternatively email for an application form.
