South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s communications team is celebrating after scooping two titles at the Association of Healthcare Communications and Marketing Awards 2012.
Head of communications Amanda Marksby was named communicator of the year beating tough competition from NHS colleagues from right across the country.
Amanda said: “It’s an honour to receive this award but it’s really down to being part of such a hard-working team that truly supports marketing and communications in the NHS.”
The communications team were also presented with an award for best visual branding following the launch of the trust’s new ‘together we do the amazing’ branding which can be seen on the trust’s new website.
Company secretary Caroline Parnell said: “The ‘together we do the amazing’ branding aims to reflect the high quality professional care we provide, present a strong image for the trust and save money – so it’s great to have that recognised nationally.”
The team were shortlisted as finalists for six awards in total including best website, best partnership working, best crisis management and communications team of the year.
Chief executive designate Tricia Hart said: “The team deserve these awards for their continued innovation, support and commitment.”
