Pancake racers in North Yorkshire’s county town will be flipping for a fine local cause next week. The Shrove Tuesday contest will see staff from stores, businesses and other organisations across Northallerton come together and race to the finish line brandishing frying pans. Flipping a pancake all the way, runners will attempt to stay on a course on the town’s Applegarth playing fields at 11am on Tuesday, February 17. Money raised will go to the Friarage Hospital’s MRI Scanner Appeal.
