Trust to showcase its shining stars

Do you know someone at South Tees who is a ‘star’ and deserves an award for going that extra mile to help a patient or improve a service?

Banner- star awards1If so, then you can nominate them in the trust’s annual star awards, an event which recognises the work of staff, volunteers and fundraisers across the entire organisation.

Closing date for entries is before 5pm on Monday 24 February and the shortlisted finalists will be invited to a special event, sponsored by some of the trust’s partners, in April.

This year the categories are:

  • Clinical team of the year
  • Behind the scenes award
  • Partnership working award
  • Innovation award
  • Margaret Toase unsung hero award
  • Driving out waste award
  • Fundraiser of the year award
  • Volunteer of the year award
  • Volunteer – friendly service award

Chief executive, Prof Tricia Hart, said: “We anticipate a large number of submissions for this year’s awards. This is an extremely important event which showcases many of the teams and individuals who have achieved so much in developing services for patients.

“There is innovative, high quality work going on right across the trust and everyone should be very proud of their achievements – these nominees are shining examples of the fantastic work being carried out every day by our 9,000-strong staff.

“It is because of their efforts we have been able to build a highly successful organisation that strives to provide the highest quality care to local people.”
