There will be a very special guest at the Teesside Lymphoma Support Group meeting in the Trinity Holistic Centre at The James Cook University Hospital later this week.
Author Vic Heaney is the guest of honour. Back in 2010, Vic walked 1,500 miles from his current home in the south of France to his birthplace, Blackpool, in time for his 70th birthday. He hoped to raise £8,000 for pancreatic cancer research while raising awareness of the disease.
On Thursday 12 February he will talk about his three-month adventure at the two-hour event which starts at 6.30pm, as well as sign copies of his book, ‘Vic’s Big Walk’, in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK.
