Many people come to our hospitals each year with an illness or injury caused by alcohol and/or drug misuse.
We know, from patient and staff feedback, that there is more we can do to improve their experience whilst in our care.
The video will be used as an educational and reflection tool for staff across the trust and will make a real difference to patients.
It will acknowledge what the trust does well and where we need to improve, and it will highlight reasons why people use substances and then come to hospital.
How to be involved
We understand it may be difficult for people to get involved. People have different circumstances or requirements, but we will support you as much as we can to take part.
You can sign up to be involved if:
- You have used our hospitals in the past three years for an illness or injury caused by alcohol and/or drug misuse. We are also keen for carers or relatives of patients to be involved.
- You are happy to be recorded (we can do this anonymously if you prefer)
- You have availability between 18 and 30 September 2023 for filming to take place.
Other ways to be involved
You can send feedback about your experience to Jemma using the contact details below. We can then talk about how to include your feedback as part of this project.
