The real test of our performance as a trust is the views and experiences of the people who use our services.
Coming into hospital can be a worrying time so we want to provide the best possible experience we can for patients, relatives and carers and to understand what you are telling us about your experiences – good and bad – so we can make improvements where necessary.
We are currently looking at people’s experience of their attendance in a number of departments – including accident and emergency and outpatients.
We are inviting patients to complete the Friends and Family Test in inpatient areas, accident and emergency, and maternity. The questionnaire can be answered on leaving the Ward by completing a postcard, or can be completed online. To complete the questionnaire online, please click on the link on the right.
This will give us speedy feedback on your experience and help us to recognise and share good practice and improve and learn from any aspects of your visit that may not have met your expectations.
While this is an anonymous survey, if you have particular concerns about your care or treatment the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) is there to listen and help to resolve problems quickly on your behalf. The service, which covers all hospitals and services within the Trust, is free and if a member of the team cannot help you immediately, they will take details of your problem and get back to you.
PALS can be contacted by telephone or email and their office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We are sorry if we are unavailable when you contact us, however if you leave a message with your name and contact number someone will contact you within 24 hours, or the next working day.
