Friends and family test
South Tees continuously looks to drive improvements in the quality of the care given to its patients.
To help us achieve this goal, we would like to hear your comments, good or bad, if you have been either:
- an adult (over 16 years old) who has stayed at least one night in either The James Cook University Hospital, the Friarage Hospital or community hospitals as an inpatient; or
- an adult who has attended A&E.
- women receiving maternity services will be offered the Friends and Family test at three points in their pathway, from October 2014.
We would appreciate two minutes of your time to fill out a very short survey called the Friends and Family test where you will be asked if you would recommend our hospitals to a loved one.

Your comments are really important to us as we can then take practical action to address areas of concern and, of course, positive feedback is equally welcoming for the morale of our hard working staff!
If you do not wish to take part in the survey but have a specific issue you wish to raise with the trust, click here to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS).
