Health Survey - Sport England
Help us bid to be one of Sport England’s local delivery pilots.
Patients, residents and staff are being asked to complete a survey about their physical activity preferences to help the South Tees area win a big chunk of £130 million from Sport England.
Where people live and work plays a big part in the choices they make about the sport and physical activity they do. In their new strategy, Sport England announced that they would be funding 10 places to develop and implement local strategies for physical activity and sport (combined value of £130 million).
These will be pilots to learn lessons from and will particularly focus on addressing inactivity and working with under-represented groups.
Physical activity is key to a healthy lifestyle; it’s often said that if the benefits from being physically active could be made into a pill that it would be the most prescribed medicine.
Securing one of the pilot programmes for the South Tees area will transform the way that physical activity is delivered and seen/valued and bring about real change for local residents and employees.
This is a very important project the Trust is involved in alongside Redcar and Cleveland Council, Middlesbrough Council and other healthcare partners and we’d ask if you would take a few minutes to complete this short survey.
