Dedicated to helping Heart Patients through supporting our excellent regional cardiothoracic unit at the The JAMES COOK UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL in Middlesbrough.

Thanks to the amazing generosity of so many giving their time and money we have raised over £3.5 Million since we started and big spends include £1 Million for upgrading the Cardiac MRI Scanner, and helping raise the £750.000 needed to develop a Cardiovascular Academic Research Unit..

We continue to raise funds exclusively for the Cardiothoracic Unit to pay for things such as equipment (VAT exempt), pump-priming of new advanced procedures by the Consultants and all staff, so that the Commissioners will purchase them; Staff Training; and Research - none of which could be provided by the current NHS.
Funding from the SCHF is focussed on improving Heart Patient Care, and, in the process, help to maintain our World Class Unit`s National and International reputation, continuing to attract top people to work in Teesside`s Regional Cardiothoracic Centre.

None of the SCHF Committee raising these funds are salaried, and as we are volunteers, every penny donated goes to where it was meant to.

If you would like to volunteer it's simple and you can give as little of your time as you are comfortable with, and it doesn't commit you for a lifetime

We do make a difference to OUR heart patients
and their families

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL HEART CHARITY- YOU MIGHT NEED IT!
