Treat Me Well Campaign

Simple changes in hospital care can make a big difference – think better communication, more time and clearer information!

Disabled people want hospital staff to:

  • Understand what reasonable adjustments are and why they are needed
  • Consistently and routinely record disabled people’s needs
  • Provide reasonable adjustments – and share examples of good practice to support and embed them
  • Monitor the provision of reasonable adjustments, in conjunction with the disabled person themselves

Information for staff

Carers please just ask!

Simple changes in hospital care can make a big difference, but sometimes we need your help to identify the most appropriate changes for each individual. If you are a carer of a patient with learning disabilities, and you have an idea about how their needs could be better met in our hospitals, please tell any member of staff responsible for their care.
