Updated visiting – antenatal and postnatal
Siblings of the baby can visiting for one hour a day from 10am to 8pm avoiding mealtimes. This will be arranged on admission.
Two visitors can attend between 2.30pm and 3.30pm and 7pm and 8pm. No other children.
Visiting for partners remains 10am to 8pm.
The antenatal ward at James Cook (ward 19) provides multi-specialist and individualised care for women admitted to hospital during their pregnancy because of problems or complications.
We also care for women with early pregnancy problems and for new mums whose baby is on the neonatal unit.
Ward 19 is situated on the first floor near the women and children’s entrance.
Women having a low dependency induction of labour may also be admitted to ward 19 to commence the induction of labour process.
