The Retinal Development Appeal was set up to buy extra equipment for the eye outpatients department at South Tees.

Recently funds were used to purchase a new a state-of-the-art Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) eye scanner to help clinicians diagnose sight threatening conditions more effectively including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma.
