Posture is the way in which somebody holds his or her body. Poor posture can often the be the root cause of many aches and pains.

Postural assessment and correction often forms a component of your physiotherapy assessment and treatment.

The physiotherapist will observe the way you sit or stand and will make suggestions and give you hints and tips on how best to correct your posture to minimise your pain and prevent recurrence in the future.

Poor outcomes following physiotherapy can be due to failure to change poor posture, so it is very important that you follow any postural advice given if you wish to see good long term gains and make the best of your physiotherapy sessions.

Ergonomics is the study of how a workplace and the equipment used
there can best be utilised for comfort, efficiency, safety, and productivity.

Our physiotherapists are not able to come to your workplace, but through discussion, they can try to guide you in how best to manage your work environment with the aim of reducing postural stresses and minimising aches, pains and injury.
