Welcome to our home exercise guide

The information will help you to increase your fitness levels in the build up to, during and after your treatment or surgery. Before you start, please take some time to watch the introductory videos as these will guide you through how to use this page. They will also show you how to exercise safely and effectively. Exercise video library

Here’s a series of videos which will allow you to exercise safely. The first two videos will show you how to use the exercise equipment safely. These are then followed by a series of instructional videos demonstrating each of the individual exercises. These will ensure that you are performing the exercises correctly, and will be available for you to refer back to at any point if you need to. Exercise circuits

The information below will allow you to complete a full exercise circuit made up of both aerobic and resistance exercises. You can either play the first video which includes the full circuit for you to follow or download the PDF below and follow the circuit provided. If you are unsure of any of the exercises please refer back to the exercise library above or contact us by phone or e-mail.

Below there are 2 options of exercise circuits you can follow. They are ordered from easiest to more challenging from top to bottom.

Full circuit including warm up and cool down

Here are 2 circuits you can follow. The first one is a low intensity seated routine and can be followed if you are new to exercise, become tired easily or have problems with your balance. The standing aerobic exercise routine can be used if you have a reasonable level of fitness or a progression from the seated programme. If you are unsure which to use, please discuss with one of the prepwell team.
