Abstract Submission and Selection

Abstract guidelines

  • Word limit – 300 words
  • Minimum sections to be included – background, methods, results, conclusions
  • Abstracts may be presented as either a virtual poster or oral presentation, i.e. the same abstract cannot be presented in both categories. You will be informed via email after the selection meeting which category you work has been chosen for (see below)

Authors of poster presentations are to give a short presentation on the day

Unlike many other conferences, the South Tees Regional QIP Conference has been designed to give all submitting doctors, regardless of category, the opportunity to present to a consultant judging panel. This means that if your work is accepted for poster presentation you will be expected to ensure you are available on the day to present it during a virtual “poster walk-around”, or arrange in advance for a co-author to do so.

  • Abstracts should be emailed in Word or PDF format to stees.qipconference@nhs.net
  • Please title your email “QIPC Submission (surname)” and in the main text give your full name, grade and hospital
  • Late submissions will not be accepted

  • Abstracts will be reviewed by a consultant led panel and you will be informed of the outcome via email by 5pm on Sunday 21 March 2021
  • All work from the across the region will be considered blind regardless of training location
