Meet the Team
The reproductive medicine team at The James Cook University Hospital is lead by consultant gynaecologist Fayez Mustafa and includes experienced embryologists, specialist nurses, a quality manager, secretarial/administration staff and an independent BICA accredited counsellor.

Consultant gynaecologist and sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine (GMC No: 6091280)
Specialist areas: reproductive medicine, fertility investigations, IVF and ICSI, donor gamete treatment, treatment of dysovulation, gynaecological endocrinology, and special interest in fertility research and ethics.
The nursing team
The nursing team comprises midwives and registered nurses experienced in all aspects of reproductive medicine.
The embryology team
The IVF Laboratory team comprises four state registered embryologists – Kathy, Paul, Charlotte, Sarah, and clinical laboratory assistant Nikki.
Administration and quality management team
The admin team consists of Suzanne Brazier (quality and admin manager), Lisa Williams (fertility co-ordinator), Angela Brookmyre (departmental secretary),
and Anne Wales (secretarial support).
Accredited member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and British Infertility Counselling Association.
Transvaginal ultrasound scans are performed by female ultrasonographers led by Alison Gamble (senior sonographer).
