Aromatherapy combines massage, structured therapeutic touch and essential oils extracted from flowers, plants, fruit and seeds.
It can help ease anxiety and reduce pain, nausea, constipation, insomnia and skin conditions.
What happens during an aromatherapy session?
A therapist will use the information you give them about your medical condition and history, any symptoms and side effects of any treatments you are experiencing and any medication you are taking, to choose essential oils that are right for you.
Essential oils are blended with a carrier oil and used by the therapist to give you a massage – often a hand or foot massage.
