A number of support groups meet at the Trinity Holistic Centre, alongside other charities and services all aiming to help patients and their families cope with a cancer or long term condition diagnosis.
Look Good, Feel Better
Look Good Feel Better is dedicated to improving the self-esteem, confidence and wellbeing of people undergoing treatment for any sort of cancer. They deliver monthly skincare and make-up workshops from the Trinity Holistic Centre. At many of these workshops participants will also have an opportunity to browse a small number of specialist stalls providing clothing and lingerie, enjoy a spread of cup cakes and fruit and even have the opportunity for a confidence boosting makeover photo shoot if you wish. For more information, call 01642 854839.
Heads Up
Heads Up provides free information and support from trained volunteers on hair loss caused by cancer treatment. It aims to encourage patients to feel more confident coping with hair loss and provides practical tips on hair and scalp care. Patients also have the opportunity to try on hats and hair pieces and learn how to tie scarves on their heads. A free headscarf and silk tie is offered to patients at their first appointment, which can be made by calling 01642 854839 or dropping into the centre.
