Who Can Use This Service?
Anyone with a cancer diagnosis who is under the care of any consultant at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust can use the centre, and so can their loved ones or carer.
Once the centre receives a referral, a lead therapist will contact you to agree on a tailored set of services to support you (usually four to ten sessions depending on the services selected).
All eligible patients with cancer and their carers receive these services free of charge (within limits).
We can offer some of our complementary therapy services to patients with other long term conditions including Motor Neurone Disease, patients accessing the renal day unit and inpatients at James Cook University Hospital. This is subject to specific grants or funds we have been awarded so please get in touch to find out more. Many of our well being projects and classes are available to anyone with a cancer or other long term condition diagnosis.
We are incredibly keen to start developing more services for people affected by other conditions, if you would like to get involved or make a suggestion please get in touch on 01642 854839.
We can also provide complementary therapies to staff and members of the public at very competitive rates. Click here for details on private therapies.
