Remember that right now you are doing difficult but extremely valuable work, contributing to helping others in need in this unprecedented situation.
Remember that you possess a lot of knowledge and skills (which has probably become automatic) in order to be doing the work you are doing.
Ask yourself, what went well today? Even the smallest wins count, such as “I remembered to stay hydrated all day,” “I made that patient as comfortable as I could.”
Can you think about a time when you managed stress or fear in the past? Can you use the same strategies now to cope in this situation?
