3. Orthopaedic referral

1. Working diagnosis
2. Clinical history including comorbidities
3. X-ray
   Note – two x-ray views (true anterior posterior and axillary views) should be available for the consultation
4. Functional disability
5. Treatment to date

1. Confirm diagnosis with history and examination
2. Confirm if they have received structured physiotherapy and glenohumeral steroid injection as part of conservative mangement
3. Utilise shared-decision making to consider Physiotherapy in the first instance if not received or if further procedure is indicated

Offer manipulation under anaesthesia (MUA) with a glenohumeral steroid injection in the first instance based on UK FROST evidence

1. List for procedure to occur within 12 weeks* of listing
2. Risks and benefits
3. Patient expectations
4. Post-procedure management and recovery
5. Consent
6. Provide Patient Booklet of exercises
7. Consider comorbidities and social situation
8. Pre-procedure assessment
9. Collect any patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs)
10. Proceed to daycase procedure
