A Christmas Service of Remembrance for those who mourn the loss of a baby or a child

The trust's annual memorial service takes the form of a traditional church carol service and is for the families of babies and children who have died on both the neonatal unit and central delivery suite.

However, the service is open to all. The service is conducted by the hospital chaplaincy team and members of staff usually do readings.

Families are offered the opportunity to hang their baby’s name on a tree and light a candle in memory of their child at the end of the service.

After the service, refreshments are available, and members of staff are on hand to talk to.
