Dr Venkataraman consultant paediatrician with more than 25 years of experience in the UK and abroad, specialising in allergy, acute and general paediatrics.
Dr Venkataraman delivers the paediatric allergy service at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, managing children and young people with a wide range of allergic conditions.
Her work includes allergy assessment, skin prick testing, food challenges and now grass pollen immunotherapy.
Alongside clinical practice, Dr Venkataraman is committed to improving the safety and quality of care for children.
Her quality improvement work, focused on reducing medication errors and improving outcomes in a tertiary neonatal unit, was nationally recognised and selected as a finalist at the National Patient Safety Conference in 2012.
