Mr. Trushar Patel is a consultant ophthalmologist offering expert care in all aspects of general ophthalmology.
Mr. Patel specialises in advanced lamellar transplantation and is well-versed in the latest advancements in intraocular lens technology. He routinely performs cataract surgery using premium lenses, such as toric and multifocal implants, enabling patients to achieve complete independence from glasses or contact lenses.
Mr. Patel serves as the corneal and cataract Lead at James Cook and actively teaches and mentors junior ophthalmology trainees and allied health professionals, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
He is a recognised educational and clinical supervisor for The Royal College of Ophthalmologists, he plays a key role in shaping the next generation of eye care professionals, combining clinical insight with a passion for personal and professional development.
Mr. Patel manages all aspects of disease related to the front half of the eye and eyelids.
