Families and local communities are being invited to celebrate the 75th anniversary of NHS.
The free-entry event is being hosted at the Dorman’s Club in Middlesbrough and includes live musical performances from local bands as well as tribute acts such as Pink and Elvis Presley.
Families can also cheer on our NHS teams as they take part in a fun sports day including tug of war, egg and spoon races and archery.
Emergency services colleagues from Cleveland Fire Brigade and Cleveland Police will also be present– giving children the opportunity to sit inside their emergency vehicles.
There will also be a wide range of food options on offer for everyone and a chance to browse stalls and support local small businesses.
Lisa Meehan, fundraising manager at Our Hospitals Charity, said: “We are delighted that our friends at the Dorman’s Club are hosting our NHS 75th birthday family fun day.
“We have loads of activities throughout the day for the whole family to enjoy and really hope the local community can join us to celebrate our amazing NHS, and at the same time help us raise funds for Our Hospitals Charity."
All proceeds from the event will go to Our Hospitals Charity, which raises funds for hospitals across Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, Hambleton and Richmondshire.
