Are you interested in healthcare and want to get more involved in shaping your local health services now and in the future?
If yes, we would like to invite you to put your name forward in our council of governors elections.
Having a council of governors is a key feature of any NHS Foundation Trust and gives people a greater say in how the trust plans local healthcare for the future.
Governors:
Shape the trust’s plans for the future
Reflect the interests of members and the general public
Help select and appoint the chairman and non-executive directors
Advise the board of directors on issues and support the development of services
Approve the chief executive’s appointment
Attend council of governors meetings
Help develop the trust’s membership strategy
To stand as a candidate in either the Redcar and Cleveland, patient and/or carer or staff constituency, you need to be a member of the trust.
Trust membership is free, easy to join and includes access to exclusive NHS discounts.
